Our history

A brief history of the creation of Rotatio:

In order to improve posture during Zazen meditation, Marek Łukaszewicz introduced the gymnastics of joined hands. The hands, joined as if in prayer, move, yielding to the pressure of one of the hands, moving sideways and  up. The philosophy of Tai Chi, representing both yielding and pressing, that is, the submissive and active forces of Yin and Yang, is the basis of these ideas.

Wanting to diversify this exercise in movement, the author introduced a bamboo stick, held between the index fingers. In the version for two people, the idea became a new form of gymnastics, which exists within the Polish Gymnastics Association as "Ballet with a wand".

Rotatio was the next stage in this series of thoughts. The movement of two rotating wheels requires more concentration, and the coordination of both hemispheres of the brain, and both hands at the same time, develops muscles and builds neuronal connections. Rotatio initially existed as an accessory with only a single wheel.

In its extended version, the Rotatio with two hoops and two connecting bands is a sporting challenge and can be recommended as a systematic practice.
